1. Urban Ladder may raise Rs 310 crore
Online furniture store Urban Ladder is in talks with Sequoia Capital, existing investors Steadview Capital, SAIF Partners and Kalaari Capital to raise more than $50 million (Rs 310 crore) at a valuation of about $150 million, according to two investors directly involved in discussions.

2. DoT to provide internet via MSOs, cable operators
            Aiming to increase broadband penetration in smaller cities, the DoT is planning to use Multiple System Operators and cable operators to provide broadband connectivity. 

3. Trai may pull up Airtel, Vodafone, Idea in ISD calling card case
            Telecom regulator TRAI is believed to be considering issuing show-cause notice to Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular for not signing agreements with companies interested in providing international calling card services directly to consumers. 

4. Sistema to bid despite steep spectrum price
            Sistema Shyam, the only CDMA operator in India, says the starting price for the 800MHz bandwidth in the upcoming auction is steep and it has no choice but to bid for it as the base price may only get pushed up later because the spectrum can also be used to offer 4G services. 

5. DoT weighs legal option to keep auction on track
            The telecom department is considering all options available to it, including approaching the Supreme Court, to pre-empt any telecom operator from stalling the auction of airwaves that is due to begin on March 4.

6. Snapdeal may acquire designer apparel site Exclusively.in
            Snapdeal.com may be set to acquire Exclusively.in, a site that sells designer brands, as one of the country's largest online retailers looks to strengthen its fashion business to take on rivals Flipkart-owned Myntra and Jabong amid a consolidation drive.

7. Canon, Nikon, Sony get show cause notice from DRI
            The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has issued show cause notices to leading camera makers Sony, Canon and Nikon for 'artificially' restricting memory of high-end digital cameras to avail zero duty benefit meant for low-end equipment.

8. Trai's paper on Viber, Skype likely by end of month
            Sectoral regulator Trai is likely to come up with a consultation paper on over-the-top (OTT) players like Skype, Viber and Line by the end of this month seeking comments on issues such as bringing them under a licencing regime, revenue sharing and net neutrality. 

9. Infosys to acquire Panaya for $200 million
Infosys is acquiring US-based automation technology company Panaya for an enterprise value of $200 million. This is the IT major's second largest acquisition after it bought Zurich-based consulting firm Lodestone for $350 million in September 2012.
